was pretty pleased when i found the saddle, its "avenir" which i believe is a raleigh brand which is nice! gonna see about doing a new bar pad, the one it came with is pretty faded and i think its off a miniburner. did the boxer xl have a "leather look" one similar to the grifter xl? i know its not original but might make a top tube pad also, to cover the awful tuptube decal and for "saftey" reasons! |

Not sure if its smooth or leather effect, also not definate that they all had Raleigh printed on them?? you could put a post on the burner site as a certain mini had the same pad (and saddle)

cheers cotterpin, the seat was a lucky find! still on the look out for an original though... the pad that was on this xl had raleigh printed on it, but with a velcro style fastening. as far as i can make out the one on the brochure has popper fastners. i can't remember what my younger brothers xl had back in the day... will keep eyes peeled for more xl pics i think |
