My original plan was a full restoration, but an impending house move has halted many projects.

So, Grifter has been slung back together so nothing should get lost in a move.

Paintwork isn't pretty.

Handlebars are good.

Wheels, not too bad, Haven't tried cleaning them yet

In use..

Chain guard is terrible.

Currently having a mare with the grip shift. All the gears seem to work, but the selection ball/plunger seems to have lost it's ability to hold it in gear. Also the top gripshifter housing seems to be cracked.

It went all right though on it's first outing, apart from the gears.

Looks good to me mate, all the right bits are there and original bikes like yours are always better than bikes that have had an attempt at a resto. Just clean each bit up slowly and you'll end up with a cracker ;)

Ive got spare bits for that shifter so let me know if you need anything, I presume thats your better half on the bike? careful she'll want one next, its that Grifter fever  ;)

It's her Grifter really, as she got it and brought it home! :o So I need to find my own.

I just get to do all the fun work, so she can ride it.

Got to get some 2.125 tyres for it soon. It looks silly with 1.75's on it. Wheels seem to be very straight too.

What oil goes in the rear hub? should I bother changing it, checking it, or topping it up? Maybe I'll have a google for it now..
