I'm Andy, I'm new to grifters and this site but recently purchased a 1982 Grifter xl for £26 on ebay, in not exactly what you would call showroom condition!!!!!! Did a bit of research as wasn't sure what the xl looked like new, big thank you for the publicity shots on this site, helped no end. I found someone selling job lot of Grifter xl frames and parts on ebay and got some nos bits and bobs and some reproduced stuff and now have an almost complete bike. I say almost as I need a chain guard (that hasn't got a 3" chunk missing) I know rocking horse poo, and I'm waiting to see if I can get a new set of decals. If anyone can help I would be very grateful, also now have 3 xl frames with forks and enough parts to build up as bikes but no wheels! So if anyone has wheels or needs parts let me know. I'll try and post some pictures, I've signed up to photobucket but not sure how to get them from there to here, please don't judge me, when I was at school we only had 2 Sinclair spectrums and a Commadore 64 and we weren't allowed to use them in case we broke them!! Happy days!!!!.....

sounds like the bugs bitten someone else, you'll soon have all the frames built up! would be good to see some pics, here's how:-

1, Upload images to the site (ie: photobucket)
2. Copy and paste the IMG Code (under the photo) into the message your typing.

Your message will look something like this example:-

Here is my new blue MK1 Grifter
[ IMG]http://i55.photobucket.co/albums/g148/77grifter/DSCN3025.jpg[/img][/color]

you can add as many of these image codes as you want in your message, you dont have to start a new message for each photo

hello andy - have you worked out how to put your pictures up yet? here's a picture of my xl equipped with raleigh vektar 3speed mags!

ive only just dried out, haven't ridden the MK1 for 18 months

probably have to push it home after a session
